Challenge Progress

When I saw that Candi was putting out a monthly challenge for October involving UFO's I started thinking about some unfinished projects.  I mean we all have 'em right?  I didn't always you know.  I'd work a quilt from beginning to end and then start (find) another project to do.  That has evolved and I now work on more than 1 project at a time and then the inevitable UFO's started.

I am very competitive, mostly with myself really, so it hit me that we were closing in on the end of October.  How does that happen?  Remember when you were a kid and thought time stood still?

I am happy to report that my quilt #2 UFO is quilted and all that remains is hand stitching the binding!  Silly that I had the top, had pieced the backing and even had the binding ready to go.  Well -it is a Christmas quilt so I kept putting it off.  Now it'll soon be finished and washed/crinkly.  Love it!

I quilted with a stipple throughout except for the stars.

I have also spray basted my other UFO #1.  I am not too thrilled with how this quilt looks so far, which is maybe why I have waited to finish it.  I hope it looks better when it's quilted and crinkly!  It will right?!

It's gorgeous fall weather and I am happily enjoying finishing my quilts - inside.  I know I'll feel accomplished with these 2 done so it is worth it!
Have a great rest of the weekend!

  2. Love the Christmas quilt! I think the other one is going to be great too. Nice job getting those UFOs done. I plan to get mine done by the year end, if I don't get myself sidetracked in the process. Always a danger...
